G. Information We Do Not Collect

At this time, Allontas does not collect:

  • precise device GPS location
  • receipt uploads or photo uploads
  • sensitive identity documents
  • social security numbers

All location-based pricing currently relies on a user-entered address, not precise device geolocation.

We may use your information to:

  • create and manage your account

4. Grocery Pricing and Planned-Expense Features

Grocery Pricing

Grocery comparison in Allontas is powered by database-backed retailer pricing, not live scraping on every basket request.

We aim to refresh pricing on a recurring cadence aligned with weekly and promotional sales cycles, but refresh frequency may vary by retailer, market, item availability, and technical limitations. “Supported” retailers are retailers whose websites or data sources we are able to capture consistently at the location level with enough reliability to produce useful comparisons.

Prices, availability, discounts, taxes, fees, promotions, and item substitutions may differ from what appears in-store, online, or at checkout. Allontas provides comparison estimates to help users plan, but we cannot guarantee final retailer prices or availability.

This means:

  • store coverage may vary by market
  • supported retailers may change over time
  • pricing may not always be real-time
  • when pricing is incomplete or low-confidence, we may surface that to users rather than imply false precision

Planned-Expense and Calendar Price Checks

For certain planned-expense flows, Allontas may check current prices for selected items across supported retailers. These lookups may be more current than grocery database pricing and may be used to help users plan for upcoming purchases.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Assistance

Allontas may use artificial intelligence as an assistive layer in limited ways.

Allontas provides budgeting, spending, grocery comparison, and planning tools for informational purposes only. Allontas does not provide financial, investment, tax, credit, legal, or professional advice, and insights generated by the Services should not be treated as personalized financial advice.

A. AI Provider

We may use OpenAI as an AI service provider.

B. How AI May Be Used

We may use AI to help with:

  • interpreting transaction history and budget data
  • generating plain-language spending insights
  • suggesting budgeting adjustments or reallocations
  • other similar user-facing assistance features

C. What AI Is Not Used For

Grocery price comparison itself is deterministic and database-backed. It is not generated by AI.

D. Data Sent to AI Providers

We may send transaction history, budget category data, and related spending information to OpenAI in order to generate plain-language budgeting insights and recommendations.

We do not permit our AI service providers to use your financial data to train their models, unless we separately disclose that use and obtain any consent required by law.

AI-generated insights may be incomplete, inaccurate, or based on incomplete information. You should review recommendations before relying on them.

Your financial data is not used to train third-party AI models.

E. No Solely Automated Decisions with Legal or Similar Effects

We do not permit our AI service providers to use your financial data to train their models, unless we separately disclose that use and obtain any consent required by law.

Some residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten in the ordinary course of business.

We may also retain de-identified or aggregated information for longer periods where permitted by law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

These measures may include:

  • encryption in transit
